Yvonne Smith

Yvonne Smith, 71, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.  She was born on August 9, 1950 in Kingsport, TN, the daughter of Hubert and Clara Bell (Cole) Nichols.   Yvonne married Bruce E. Smith on May 13, 1978 and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1989.  She worked at Dollar General, the Ottawa Drive-In Theater and Fremont Speedway.  Yvonne enjoyed movies, musical theater, country and 50’s and 60’s music, cooking and arts and crafts.  She also loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Barry (Angela) Bowen, Perrysburg, OH, Richard C. (Kaylea) Smith II, Wasilla, AK and Dawn (John) Miller, Fremont; siblings, Hubert Nichols, Jefferson City, MO, Eileen Minton and Pauline Cutolo both of Russellville, MO; grandchildren, Annabelle, Brayden, Lillian, Rosa, Shelby and Easton Bowen, Destiny and Charlotte Smith, Timothy Miller, Jr and Luke Miller and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce E. Smith and sister, Jewel Baines.

Visitation:  Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Service:  Wednesday, February 16, 2022; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial:  Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
