
Walter E. Mach, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 14, 2015 at The Willows in Bellevue, OH. He was born on September 21, 1928 in St. Joseph, Berrien Co, MI to Charles and Grace (Kettelhut) Mach. He was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph High School in St. Joseph, MI.
Walter married Marion R. Mach on March 6, 1948 in St. Joseph, MI who precede him in death. He served in the US Army from 1952-1954 in France. He worked at Whirlpool Corporation for over 46 years from 1948-1994. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. He was on the board of directors for the Sandusky County YMCA. He enjoyed fixing and building things in the garage, fishing, and having fun with his family.
Walter is survived by children, Chuck (Debra) Mach of Centerville, Ohio, and Lori (Oscar) Marroquin of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren: Alex (Lauren) Mach of Plain City, Ohio; Jenna Mach of Centerville, Ohio; Jackie (AJ) Wilkes of St. Louis, MO; Molly Marroquin of Maplewood, Mo.; and Adam and Troy Marroquin, both of Lake St. Louis, Mo; great-grandson, Finnegan Wilkes of St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Marion R. Mach, and his parents.
Visitation: Thursday, December 17 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Thursday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jody Rice officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, Ohio
