Virginia “Peggy” F. Bishop
Virginia “Peggy” F. Bishop, 84, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Parkview Care Center in Fremont. She was born August 14, 1929 in Sandusky, OH, the daughter of Foster and Lucy (Robinson) Gant.
Peggy married Samuel Bishop on December 31, 1971 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1989. She was a Homemaker and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Peggy enjoyed puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family.
Peggy is survived by her children, Ron Burel, Lionel Burel, Fred Burel, Richard Burel, Marezena Williams, Lisa Burel and Lasandra Bishop, all of Fremont, OH and Theodore (Anna) Burel of North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Bishop; sons, James H. Burel and William Mabe; siblings, Mamie Crawford, Isabel Sykes, Albert and Sam Gant and Prince Crosby.
Visitation: Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 601 Bidwell Ave, Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, June 2, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Church with Pastor C. J. Burel officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
