
Vincent L. Camarata, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on March 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Vince was born on October 18, 1950 in Fremont, OH to Vincent J. and Catherine (Oprie) Camarata. Vince married Dorothy Bishop on June 26, 1976 in Fremont and she survives. He was a 1969 graduate of Ross High School. Vince served in the Army National Guard for 18 years. He worked as a mechanic for Chrysler Jeep in Toledo for twenty-eight years and retired in 2003. Vince enjoyed hunting trips with his friends, fishing, camping and loved the outdoors. In addition he enjoyed working with his hands, bowling, cooking, croquet and spending time with his family and friends.
Vince is survived by his wife, Dorothy Camarata, Fremont, OH; children, Christina Camarata, Bowling Green, KY, Corina (Michael Gersin) Camarata, Southfield, MI, Colburn (Amy) Camarata, Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Dustin, Donavin, Alexis and Giovanni Camarata; step-grandchildren, Holly (Josh) Koss, Jarret Gersin, Seth Gersin; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Camarata; step-great-grandchildren, Avery and Ryleigh Koss, Adonia Baker and Atticus Gersin; siblings, James (Cheryl) Camarata, Fremont, OH and Richard (Nan) Camarata, Gibsonburg, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Colleen Camarata; sister, Nancy Camarata.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 424 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.
Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
