Ventrice Kuhl, 82, of Bettsville, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023. She was born Aug. 15, 1941, in Gentry, Arkansas, to Vent and Tassie Bowlin.
She is survived by her children, Ravena Hersey (Randy), Scott Kuhl (Laurie), and Jamie Collins (Scott); five grandchildren, Heather Fletcher (Ben), Holly Powell, Heidi Schwarz (Ron), Rachel Chaltraw (Bill), and Tyler Collins (Amanda); and six great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Thompson, Zachary Chaltraw, Evan Chaltraw, Josiah Collins, Allison Fletcher, Ronnie Schwarz, and lifelong friend Chris Worden.
Born into a family of ministry, she was preceded to Heaven by her parents, who were pastors; and brother, Phillip Bowlin, who was also a pastor.
Pastor Veno was pastor at The River (previously Kingdom Lifestyle Worship Center) for 30 years and continued to minister to her Christian family at Family Worship Center, Fremont, OH the last 10 years.
She was a fierce and loving prayer warrior for her family, her church, and anyone God placed in her path until the last steps of her earthly walk. She has been called “a mother in Zion” to many all over the United States and ministered in Germany and Haiti. She was a “Pastor to Pastors,” a worshiper who ushered in God’s presence.
Pastor Veno once wrote that her purpose and love was to preach the word, minister to the children of God and the broken-hearted, and watch the Lord set the captives free.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420.
Please join us to celebrate her life and legacy at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at Family Worship Center, 120 E. State St., Fremont., with a visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m.
The burial will take place at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, OH.
