
Sherry L. Barnes Slaymaker, 54, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on November 27, 2022. She was born on December 7, 1967 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Dennis and Amolia (Hodgkinson) Barnes. She was a 1986 graduate of Ross High School. Sherry was a longtime secretary for Economy Builders where she was still currently employed. Sherry was an avid Ohio State, Browns and Indians fan. She enjoyed going to the Indians game every Mother’s Day with her family. Sherry loved to spend time with her family, friends and her pets.
Sherry is survived by her children, Adam (Jenny Lee) Souders, Fremont and Jenna Souders, Sandusky; step-son, Jacob Slaymaker, Germany; grandchildren, Hunter, Uxia and Saffira Souders, Reagan, McKinley and Hayes Hallock, Bentlee and Zella Slaymaker; father, Dennis Barnes, Fremont; siblings, Shelley (Dave) Hoppes, Clyde and Denise Barnes, Fremont; companion, Jason Baumer, Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Amolia Barnes.
Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a gathering from 10:00 a.m. to Noon prior to the service.
