
Sarah E. Adams, 86, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 21, 1930 in Toledo, OH, the daughter of Forest and Lucy (McCoy) Rauch. She was a 1948 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Sarah married Richard H. Adams on November 25, 1951 in Fremont and he survives. She worked for Prairie Builders as their Office Manager and retired in 1992 after many years of service.
Sarah was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fremont where she served as a Deacon and Elder, Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir and was a charter member of the Adult Bell Choir. She was also a member of the Mother of Twins Club in Woodville. Sarah was a volunteer at Share and Care and enjoyed roller skating and bowling. She was also a Den Mother and a Campfire Girls leader.
Sarah is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Richard H. Adams, Fremont, OH; children, Susan (Bruce) Rodgers, Temperance, MI, Richard A. (Margaret) Adams and Jeffrey (JoAnn) Adams both of Fremont, Barbara (Mark) Boedeker, Attica, OH, Thomas (Sally) Adams, Lindsey, OH and Tamara (Ronald) Allan, Crystal River, FL; grandchildren, Andy, Jared and Joe Brandon, Doug, Ryan and Scott Adams, Allison Miller, Leah Good, Jordan, Erica and Alec Adams, Kimberly Garza, Sarah Smith, Amanda Maynard, David, Jonathan and Emily Adams, Brad, Jake, Danny and Brent Allan and twenty-two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Rauch.
Visitation: Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Sunday, November 20, 2016; 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 120 S. Park Ave., Fremont, OH with an hour of gathering prior to the service at the church. Pastor Hal Mills will officiate.
