
Santiago “Junior” Z. Gonzales, Jr., 62, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. He was born on March 19, 1953 in Fremont, the son of Santiago and Amelia (Zuniga) Gonzales, Sr. He was a 1972 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Junior married Elodia Medellin in November, 1973 in Green Springs, OH and she survives. He was a Supervisor at Green Packaging. Junior was a member of the Fremont Eagles and enjoyed painting cars, fishing, listening to Mexican music, taking care of his yard and cookouts.
Junior is survived by his wife Elodia Gonzales; children, Ismael Gonzales, Melissa (Jorge) Ramirez,; parents, Santiago and Amelia Gonzales, Sr.; siblings, Ermalinda Moreno, Saul Gonzales and Arnold Gonzales, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Richard Lopez, Jr., John Lopez, Sr., Christopher Gonzales, Morgan Wiezorek, Candace Lopez, Selena Valencia, Mack Lee Gonzales, Zayda Ramirez; great grandchildren, Alaina Lopez, Annabella Spitler and John Lopez, Jr.
Visitation: Thursday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Friday, April 17, 2015, 11:00 am at Victory Church with one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service, 2051 Oak Harbor Rd, Fremont, with Pastor Duane Dunfee officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery
