
Sandra Kay Harrison, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 11, 2021. She was born on August 11, 1948 in Fremont, OH to Eli and Betty (Minich) Oprie. Sandy married Dana Harrison in Clyde, OH on December 18, 1981 and he survives. She worked in the lab at Moore Business Forms for thirty-five years and then went on to receive her STNA and worked with ProMedica Hospice. There, she was a caretaker and had a great passion to help families in their end of life journey. Sandy continued her care taking responsibilities with private home care. Sandy enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed life and loved to help anyone in need.
Sandy is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Dana Harrison; children, Michele (Dan) Gangwer, Lebanon, OH, Kennard (Amy) Blue, Fremont, OH, John Harrison, Clyde, OH; siblings, Ronald “Butch” (Rene) Oprie, Angela (Ted) Mosser, Michael (Amy) Oprie, Cynthia (Jerry) Gillmor, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin and Elizabeth Gangwer.
The family would like to thank the staff with Stein Hospice for all their wonderful care they provided Sandy and her family.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
A Memorial Service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made in Sandy’s honor to Stein Hospice.

Sandy took care of my mom, Lucile Atkinson and did a great job. She stayed with mom on the midnight shift. Mom and her got along great. She was kind and showed alot of warmth and compassion. I also visit Sandy at her home once when I was in town. We live in Tn. RIP you are and were a trully awesome person inside and out. Im sure you will be missed.
