
Roxanna Lee House, 73, of Clyde, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born on March 23, 1943 in Sandusky, OH, the daughter of Howard and Katherine (Tomich) Schnurr. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School and a graduate of a Cosmetology School in Columbus, OH.
Roxanna married Joseph House on September 19, 1962 at Camp LeJune, NC and he survives. She and Joseph owned and operated Lazy Dog Antiques for twenty years. Roxanna enjoyed playing the piano and reading (loved to go to the area libraries) and she also played the French Horn in the Sandusky High School Marching Band. She loved antiquing and was a good picker. She also enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie with her husband for many years and loved having her grandchildren over for tea.
Roxanna is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Joseph House; children, Brian (Julie Wasserman) House, Joseph House, Genie (Dale) Moyer, all of Clyde, OH; sister, Elinore Schnurr, New York, NY; grandchildren, Joseph and Bryan House, Melissa Harden, Michael (Kayt) Harden, Michelle and Mason Harden; five step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; beloved dogs, Tootsie and Barney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Schnurr; grandchildren, Bobby Elliott and Gina Leigh Harden; dog, Gracie.
A Celebration of Her Life will take place at a later date.
