Halbisen Rose E.

Rose E. Halbisen, 99, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 10, 1916 in Fremont, the daughter of George and Virginia (Cordrey) Metter.

Rose married Norbert Halbisen on September, 25, 1934 and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1973.

Rose was a Homemaker and a member of the Fremont Eagles as well as Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida, playing solitaire, working with her flowers and spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by her children, Sharon Walby, Gibsonburg, OH, Frank Halbisen, Theresa (Ross) Blymyer, Brenda (Jim) Lankford, Denny (Karen) Halbisen, Jimmy Halbisen, Edward (Agnes) Halbisen, Kenneth (Peggy) Halbisen, David Halbisen, Matt (Vidalia) Halbisen, all of Fremont, OH, Annie (Richard) Mowry, Port Clinton, OH, Jan Falsetti, Daytona Beach, FL Crystal Wilkinson, Tiffin, OH; forty-four grandchildren; seventy-four great grandchildren; thirty great-great grandchildren; one great-great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert Halbisen; sons, Norbert “Sonny” , Paul and George Halbisen; grandchildren, Angela Halbisen, Kelly Walby, Beth Ann Stevenson and Tom Halbisen; great grandchildren, Rochelle Walby and Corinne Morris; sisters, Jean Larson and Helen Metter; brother, Everett Metter.

Visitation: Sunday from 2 – 8 pm with an Eagles Service at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Service: Monday, February 8, 2016, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.

Private Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.

    All of the Halbisen family- you have my prayers and thoughts. I do very much k ow what you are going through. I lost my husband at age 58 and my Son at age 42. So you were very blessed to have Rose as long as you did. God Bless you all!
