
Rondall G. Blackburn, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Regency Hospital of Toledo in Sylvania, OH. He was born on March 13, 1936 in Stone, KY, the son of Virgil and Lucy (Belcher) Blackburn.
Rondall married Sally Ann Riehl on June 30, 1956 at St. Ann Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on October 4, 2011. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Whirlpool Corporation for many years and retired on April 15, 1998. Rondall attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church was a former member of the Moose Club and VFW Dads. He loved having BBQ’s in the back yard of his home where he entertained many family and friends. Rondall enjoyed bowling, golf, baking, cross word puzzles, bird watching, hunting and watching Clyde wrestling.
Rondall is survived by his children, Joanne (Tom) Streacker, Findlay, OH, Robert (Benita) Blackburn, Clyde, OH, Janice (Susan Smith) Blackburn, Winter Springs, FL; sisters, Clara Marie Ratliff, Kimper, KY and Geraldine (Gene) Curtis, South Branch, MI; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara (Gary) Ohms; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sally Ann Blackburn; infant daughter, Kathleen Blackburn and sister, Audrey M. Lester.
Visitation: Monday from 10:00 – 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH.
Memorial Service: Monday, November 23, 2015, 11:30 am at the church with Fr. Chris Kardzis officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery
