
Ronald “Ron” A. Sears, 59, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was born December 15, 1963 in Fremont to Harold Sears and Alta Jean (Whitney) Olmstead. Ron was currently working in the maintenance department at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Green Springs, OH. Ron was a member of ABATE Club. His biker’s name was “Caretaker” and he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, computer games, especially “World of Warcraft” and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his dogs, Sinbad and Duke.
Ron is survived by his children, Cory Barney of South Carolina, Eric (Cindy) Barney of North Carolina, Heather (Larry) Coleman and Zach (Dana) McCurdy both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Dillon, Devlin and Kaitlyn Funk, Braylen and Brianna Morrow, CJ, Alexus, Aliza, Jason and Hailey Barney, Kristy Pierce, David Williams; mothers, Alta Olmstead, Fremont, OH and Marilyn Sears, Clyde, OH; siblings, Steven (Mitzie) Olmstead, Walbridge, OH, Rebecca (Jay) Kinchy, Castalia, OH, Michelle (Steve) Vander Stouw, Columbus, OH, Shelly (Diana) Leggett, Collierville, TN, Kevin (Donna) Sears of South Carolina, Rochelle “Shelly” Gettys, Clyde, OH, Laurie (Mark) Miller, Monroeville, OH, Patty Crosson, Clyde, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his fathers, Harold Sears and Richard “Dick” Olmstead; brothers, Steve Sears and Kenny Searight and the Love of his life, Carolyn Brooks.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023, 2:00 pm, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1187 CR 128, Fremont, OH.
