
Robert J. Clary, 78, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born June 5, 1943 in Fremont to James R. and Rita (Diedrich) Clary. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Bob married Dianne “Dee” Wasserman on September 23, 1962 in Monroe, MI. He was a journeyman maintenance mechanic at Whirlpool Corporation and retired as a general supervisor and planner in 1999 after thirty-five years of service.
Bob was a past member of the Fremont Eagles and Exchange Club. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and camping. Bob also enjoyed fixing things for his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved old cars and restored his 1974 red Corvette.
Bob is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Dianne “Dee” Clary, Fremont, OH; children, Regina (Rex) Reed, Fremont, OH, Jacqueline (John Knouff) Clary, Kennesaw, GA, Jill (Stacy) Swaisgood, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Kaitlin Reed, Molly (Cory) Hull, Sidney (Nick) Garza, Chloe (Evan LeJeune) Swaisgood; great-grandchildren, Martin and Madeline Hull, Zoey, Myla and Ruby Garza; siblings, Donald (Ann) Clary of Canada, Mary Ann (Jeff) Snodgrass, Cleveland, OH, Connie Jo (Leland) Davidson, Geneva, OH and Patricia (Joe) Roszman, Upper Sandusky, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Nathan Robert Swaisgood.
Visitation: Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 2:00 to 6:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Services follow at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Stein Hospice, Alzheimer’s Association of NW Ohio or Kiwanis Play Park-SC Communities Foundations.

Bob was a couple years ahead of me at. St.Joe but played football and wrestled with him. Also thanks for the times you helped my gramma Smith when you lived on south st. many years ago.
