
Robert E. Samuels, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on December 28, 2017. He was born on December 23, 1945 in South Bend, IN to Robert Samuels and Velma Dearing. Bob served in the US Navy during Peacetime. He married Mary Davis on December 7, 1985 and she survives.
Bob worked as a bus driver for RTA in Dayton, OH for fifteen years until he retired. He was a member of the American Legion and a life member of Am Vets Post 148 in New Carlisle. He enjoyed fishing, sprint cars, woodworking and attending auctions and flea markets.
Bob survived by his wife, Mary Samuels, Fremont; daughters, Michelle and Tonya Samuels both of Dayton, OH and Ellen Bryant, Eaton, OH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, James Dearing, New Carlisle and niece, Angela (Jason Everett) Corn, Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Cox and sister, Beverly Evans.
Graveside service will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2018; 11:00 a.m. at McGormley Cemetery, Fremont, OH with military honor’s provided by the American Legion and V.F.W.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
