
Robert E. Horn, 63, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 surrounded by his family at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on September 7, 1953 in Fremont to Eugene and Catherine (Gegorski) Horn. He was a 1972 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Vangaurd.
Bob married Ellen Naderer on February 14, 1977 in Fremont and she survives. He worked at Eveready Battery as a machinist and equipment mechanic until he retired.
Bob was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golf and was an avid NY Yankee and Michigan Wolverine Fan. Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife of forty years, Ellen Horn, Fremont, OH; daughters, Heather (Sean) Moir, Millbury, OH and Melissa (Henry) Dwight, Walbridge, OH; siblings, Mary Ann (Richard) Keiser and Ben Horn both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Samuel Valdez-Moir and Mya Dwight; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Friday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Saturday, March 11, 2017, 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Young officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Donor’s choice.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I never knew him in school but met him a couple years later. He was the type of person that could always put a smile on the faces of those around him. My dad worked as a machinist until his retirement also and worked with Bob. Bob must have made a really good impression because dad talked of him often and enjoyed their time working together. That really says something about the person Bob was.

Melissa – I can still here your Dad “Here comes trouble!” every time the 2 of us got together. He was like a 2nd Dad to me with all the time we spent at each others houses as kids. He loved you so much!!! I can say with Bob in heaven now we Buckeye fans should be a little worried about the next Michigan vs. Ohio State game, I bet he is already up to something!
