
Robert “Bob” L. Bittigar, 56, of Fremont, OH passed away from complications due to a stroke, with his family by his side on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Elmwood Skilled Nursing of Fremont. He was born on April 13, 1961 in Findlay, OH, the son of Louis C. “Pete” and Beverly L. (Byers) Bittigar. He was a 1979 graduate of Findlay High School.
Bob worked for Green Bay Packaging for eighteen years where he enjoyed playing on their softball team. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Bob was an avid Cleveland Browns and Notre Dame fan.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Brittany (Josh) Bittigar of Tiffin, OH and Montanna (Jeremiah) Herrera of Fremont, OH; mother, Beverly L. Bittigar of Fremont, OH; brother, Paul (Sandy) Bittigar of Florida and sister, Pamela (Brad) Thaxton of South Carolina; grandchildren, Alonzo, Josh “L.J.”, Moniah and Trinity; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis C. “Pete” Bittigar.
Per Bob’s request he would love for family and friends to wear their favorite football jersey to the visitation and service.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 10:30 am at the funeral home.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH
