
Richard “Lynn” Cobb, 77, of Fremont, OH went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Fremont, the son of Delmar and Esther (Wood) Cobb. He was a 1956 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Lynn served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959 where he was an aerial photographer that worked aboard the USS Intrepid. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Lynn married Nancy J. Mesnard on October 24, 1959 in Clyde, OH and she preceded him in death on July 23, 2009.
Lynn was a shop foreman at Mercury Sign Corporation for thirty-eight years and retired in 1999. He was a member of Grace Brethren Chapel and Fremont VFW. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lynn is survived by his children, Mark Cobb, Matt (Michelle) Cobb, Melinda (Jason) Billow and Mitchell Cobb, all of Fremont, OH, Mike Cobb, Keller, TX; brother, David (Joan) Cobb, Vickery, OH and sister, Frances Sinclair, Clyde, OH; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nancy J. Cobb.
Visitation: Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Thursday, April 14, 2016; 11:00 a.m. at Grace Brethren Chapel, 1820 State Route 590, Gibsonburg, OH 43431 with an hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
Private Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH at a later date.
