Falkner Robert

Rev. Robert A. Falkner, 88, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Pristine Senior Living. He was born September 7, 1929 in Wellston, OH to Jack Falkner and Jenny (Downard) Falkner Henry. He was a 1948 graduate of Wellston High School.

Robert married Betty Post on August 16, 1948 in Wellston, OH and she survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy during peace time from 1948 to 1950 and was Honorably discharged.

Robert worked at Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, OH for thirty-one years and retired on May 1, 1989. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Port Clinton, OH and enjoyed boating, fishing and music.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Betty Falkner, Fremont, OH; daughters, Cheryl Carrier Rosenberger and Carol Falkner Wineland both of Clyde, OH; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Falkner; mother and step father, Jenny and Harry Henry.

Visitation: Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Service: Saturday, September 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Janet Reed officiating.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of ProMedica Hospital.

R.I.P. Sweet, Godly man. You were an inspiration to all that knew you. Always had a welcoming smile, handshake and encouraging words. I will always remember you greeting to me each time I saw you with ., “Well, Praise The Lord, Little Lady”. Ken and I saw Jesus through you and your Christian example and positivity was an inspiration to us both. Your Spirit is free now, so walk those streets of gold and enjoy your Newness of Life in the Presence of The Lord for all eternity. Thank you for your unconditional love and kindness . We will see you again.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Rev. Falkner! He was such a sweet, Godly man and was always genuine when visiting with me. I have many fond memories of him and attending church with him at Fremont! He will be greatly missed by family and friends here on earth, but Heaven is rejoicing that another angel has gone home! Love and prayers to the family!

I am sorry to learn of the passing of Tab. Bob Falknerand we extend our sympathy to the family. He was a great guy and I enjoyed working with him at Femont Nazarene Church. Now he is enjoying his reward for all his hard work. Sorry we cannot attend the services due to another family commitment. Nancy and I will be praying for you. God bless and keep you.

What a wonderful servant of the Lord! So kind, compassionate, & giving. I am blessed to have had him as a Godly influence growing up!
