Phyllis J. Frampton

Frampton Phyllis RESIZEDjpg

Phyllis J. Frampton, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on January 7, 2021 at Elmwood Community of Fremont.  She was born on August 31, 1933 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Clarence and Josephine (Ronski) Diedrich.  Phyllis was a 1951 graduate of St. Joseph High School.  Phyllis married Clarence “Bud” Frampton on July 12, 1952 in Kentucky and he survives.  She was an insurance underwriter for Pierce Insurance for twenty-five years until she retired in 1999.  She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.  She enjoyed golfing, walking, playing solitaire, her beloved cat, Winston, and spending time with her family.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Clarence “Bud” Frampton, Fremont; children, Kimberly (Randy) Hasselbach, Fremont, Susan (Michael) Weis, Maumee, Dee (John) DeTarsio, San Diego, Jody (Tom) Mason, Fremont and Mary Beth (Joe) Bajornas, Canton, OH; siblings, Ila Rose Griffin, Helena and Marilyn Smith, Port Clinton; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim, Bernard “Von” and Charlie Diedrich; sisters, Rita Clary and Lois Wood.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elmwood Assisted Living for their loving care and support.

Phyllis never met a stranger – she loved talking to everyone and hearing their stories.  Even through Alzheimer’s, she kept her great sense of humor – which ran on autopilot – and she loved to laugh.  She loved Mother Mary and believed in the power of prayer.  Her family rejoices that all of her prayers have now been answered.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1011 W. State St., Fremont, OH.

A life, so beautiful, deserves a special celebration!  A celebration of life will be planned and scheduled at a date to be determined.

The use of face masks is required while indoors at all services. Social distancing will be observed throughout all services. If you would prefer, you may express your condolences below or call the funeral home at 419-332-6409 to request that your name be signed in the guest book.
