
Peter A. Weichman, Sr., 81, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont. He was born on January 18, 1937 in Bono, OH, the son of Arthur and Ada (Glaser) Weichman.
Peter served in the U.S. Navy. He married Shirley Homler on January 28, 1961 in Fremont and she survives. Peter worked at Unilliance Construction Inc in Oak Harbor for over thirty years and retired at the age of sixty-five. He was a member of Fremont Baptist Temple. Peter enjoyed wood carving, gardening, flying remote air planes, his bikes and his dogs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Peter is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Shirley Weichman, Oak Harbor, OH; children, Cheryl Dillow, Peter (Penny) Weichman, Jr.,Irene (Darold) Prater, Sr., Mark (Heather) Weichman and Mary (Danny) Arnold, all of Oak Harbor, OH; Matthew Weichman, Bobby (Jodi) Weichman and Johnny (Brandy) Weichman, all of Fremont, OH, Brenda Weichman, Lindsey, OH, Alan Weichman, Green Springs, OH; sister, Pat and brother, Junior (Cheryl) Perry; thirty-six grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jack Homler and Luke Weichman; siblings, Don, Amos, Charlie, Nettie Perry and Susie Weichman.
Visitation: Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 2 – 4 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH
Services will begin promptly at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Travis Montgomery officiating.
