I met pedro years ago at Wal-Mart. He became a good freind to me and my husband. I enjoyed working with him at Wal-Mart. He used to get assigned to stock the cereal aisle. We would joke with him and call him the cearel killer. A few of us on the night shift would go to McDonald’s for lunch. We had some laughs. Pedro was full of laughter no matter what was going on. I could never be upset around him, he would cheer me up. I was so excited when he came to sonoco to work. He was always there for me when I needed advice or cheered up. There was a day when he had to stay over to 3am. I was starting to feel bad and I had said I need to go home. I was trying to call my husband and he didn’t answer. So pedro took me home and waited to make sure I got into my house. He was going to drop me off at the er if my husband couldn’t. Pedro was in general the most caring freind you could have. I miss him terribly. I miss your talks, etc. My heart is aching for his family and his other freinds. RIP pedro I will see you one day again.

I met Pedro . [Pedrito ] (we called Him) in 1998 at Cal ark.
We were among those crazy puertorricans, fished out of our beautiful island brought to Little Rock Ak, trained and released into the wonderful and challenging word of trucking.
We were “rookies” . I arrived about 4 month after Pedrito . On my first solo driving I was exited and nervous but God has this way of protecting me placing few good men around me. Pedro was among them. We drove in a combo (few truck to same destination) From Mabelvale Ak to Huntsville Al . When we arrive there , this big gentelman aproached my truck by his look I was prepearing to pull out my “English ” when to my surprise he was another “Boriqua” He laughed when I greeted him. ” How are you”
_Pedro… “Me passa todo el tiempo … tranquilla que yo tambien hablo español” he was very helpful. He advised me the safer place to park and that was how a simple long lasting friendship started.
As OTR driver specifically those whom are away from the their land and their family venturing out we need a support system. He very humbled will say at least” I can help, at least we cold scream together.” Because when one of these big truck goes out its way the only thing we can yeal is
        GOD HELP ME!
Being coworkers as truck driver is different, back then cell phone technology was just starting and you never knew when you will see a familiar face again.
Every time that I arrived either at the main yard or the Laredo Tx, if Pedrito was there and our friend Jose Gabrier Arthuret, [Quenepo] ,I knew that I found family! Pedrito also intruduce me to what he called “cancel in a cup” [ roman noodles]
But like both of them will say … ” cuando la tripa aprieta …”.
I have few many more good and funny memories from that part of my journey. We kept in contact throughout the years. We both work at Sneider and we both made the Ohio State our second Home.
Most of all both We grew in the Lord whom always protected each of us and blessed us with our precious family and friends . Way back then it was only a dream ! When we seldom comunicated we share our blessed seemingly parallel life .
When I read about his passing I felt so sad that such a gentle soul had to leave us so soon.
It is so true, Every life He encountered He touched with so much kindness. I am one of those many people whom had the blessing to cross path with Pedrito.
Will see you in the highway of heaven !

Dawn, Ramon,Amy, Megan, Katie and the whole Lozada / Flores!… For those that don’t know me,my name is Jose Nogueras and to Pedro I am his bbf, his partner, his brother, his confident and anything that he would need me to be, we were there for each other until the very end, when from his death ber and right next to his daughter Amy, he expressed to me how much he loved me and I was more than privileged to let him know how much he meant to me and how much I love him from the bottom of my heart. There are people that can go through this life and once they passing through life, besides some family and friends, what else they live behind? With Pedro, getting to know him, it’s an amazing privilege, honor and an transcendent experience that in one way or another, he change the life of everybody that was lucky enough to be able to be around him, me being one of the lucky ones. My friendship with him started when we both were 13 years old at the Luis Ramos Gonzalez Junior High school in Caguas, little to me to know how significant he will be turning out to be in my life. Ever since then we were inseparable, and our friendship did grow up to the point that we became brothers from the bottom of our hearts . Through our lives, on every meaningful that happens in our lives, we were there for each other, no matter the time or the distance , we knew that if we need each other, we knew that we can count with each other for anything and everything. His loyalty to the ones that he care about and truly love it was true from the heart. You can be absolutely certain that if he tells you that he’s going to do something for someone., you can rest assured that it will be done. And it’s so much more things that I can say about him like whenever we were partners at work, he was the hardest working person, the most patient person and a very smart person that I have ever got the privilege of working with and finished my training as a truck driver, which It was his passion. I can say about Pedro it’s that he was truly apationated about the following, his daughters Amy, Megan and Katie, his wife Dawn, all of his grandchildren, all of his family and friends and his work (specially trucking). Pedro, did change my life since the first time that we met for the better. And all that I have left to say is thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my friend, my brother, my confident and for your loyalty to me. I will never forget you, and even though I truly believe that you are gone to soon, the impression that you have left behind is so big that there are many people that will be remember you for years to come, and I will be one that I will be carrying you in my heart until we will be crossing our paths again in the other side… I truly miss you and I will always love you with all the strength of my heart and soul my beloved brother…,.
