Pearl E. Paulus, 100, of Fremont, OH passed away on February 13, 2022 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on February 1, 1922 in Bainbridge, PA the daughter of Ed and Edna (Bryan) Byerly. She was a 1939 graduate of Bainbridge High School.
Pearl married Clarence “Shorty” T. Paulus on May 2, 1947 in Fremont, OH and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1981. She worked at the Herbrand, Welly Potato Chip and Grund Drug until she retired. Pearl was a member of Eastside Presbyterian Church and volunteered at the Bloodmobile. She enjoyed reading and bird watching.
Pearl is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Paulus; brother, Robert (Sally) Byerly and an infant sister.
Visitation: Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a celebration of life to follow at 6:00 p.m.
Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.

Rest in God’s reassurance of eternal life Aunt Pearl! You are back with Uncle Shorty now after 41 years! You gave it your all these past couple of weeks and lived to see 100 years of an earthly life, what an accomplishment! May the Lord Bless you and keep you, may the Lord look upon you with favor and give you Peace!
