Patricia A. Nepper

Nepper Patricia A.

Patricia A. Nepper, 83, of Fremont, OH was summoned to Heaven on July 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 13, 1934 in Fremont to the late Carl and Marguerite (Seward) Moneghan.

Pat lived in Fremont all her life and attended the local City school system as a child. She married Arthur L. Lagrou on February 14, 1953 who passed away March 10, 1962 at the very young age of thirty-one. She was a very dedicated, hardworking mother who raised six children for nearly nine years on her own. She then married a wonderful man named Robert H. Nepper, from Tiffin, OH, on January 9, 1971.

Patty Ann was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fremont. She was a life member of the Fremont Eagles Club where she honed her love of Euchre and Pinochle – she could humble the best of players with her marvelous skills. She was Past President of the Sandusky Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Her biggest joy, hobby, passion and fulfillment in life, was her love of family.

Patricia is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Robert H. Nepper; her children, Steven (Sonya) Lagrou, Terri (Dale) Hasselbach, Timothy Lagrou, Traci Lagrou and Lorie Lagrou, all of Fremont, OH, Jeffrey (Yvonne) Lagrou, Clyde, OH; son-in-law, Dick Wyka, Tiffin, OH; brothers-in-law, Jerry Lagrou, Fremont, OH, Bryce Zender, Lakeland, FL; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Arthur L. Lagrou; sister, Wanda (Dick) Haslinger; brother, Richard (Gertie) Moneghan; step daughters, Debbie Wyka, Kay O’Donnell and Mary Nepper; granddaughter, Tara M. Lagrou; great grandsons, Al Preston and Chase Lagrou.

Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2 – 8 pm with an Eagles Auxiliary Service at 7:00 pm
at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, 10:30 am at the funeral home with Certified Funeral Celebrant, Susann Robitski Zimmerman officiating.

Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital or Sandusky Township Fire Department.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. She was an awesome person whom so many of us were fond of. I have very fond memories of her. May she be happy and carefree now. Oh what a hay day in Heaven, the cousins must be having. I didn’t here thunder, that was Aunt Pat joking the rest of the family, and now let the hood times roll.

When I think about my Jr high and high school days the best memories I have are spending time with my best friend in the whole world “Terry” and all of you guys. Pat was like a second mom to me and always treated me like one of the family. I always felt welcomed there and your house was the place I wanted to be. Never a dull moment and loads of fun! I loved that our parents hung around together and were good friends too. I can’t express how sorry I am for your loss of this wonderful loving woman. I pray that you all find peace and comfort in knowing that you were so lucky in having such an awesome mother and wife who loved you all to the moon and back and that your memories of her are full of love and joy.

    Love you all,
    Debby (Henline)
