Victor Joseph Foos

Victor Joseph Foos, 92, of Sun City Center, FL and formerly of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026 in Sun City Center, FL. He was born on December 17, 1933 in Helena, OH the son of Edwin and Iona (Kirsch) Foos. Vic attended Gibsonburg High School.

Vic married Joyce Albright on June 13, 1953 in Gibsonburg, OH and she survives. He worked at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde, OH for over forty years as a tool and die maker. He was a self-taught tool and die maker and one of the best in the trade. Vic was a founding member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fremont, OH until he moved to Florida in 2005 and joined Prince of Peace Church.

Vic is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Joyce Foos; children, Kimberly (Terry) Halbeisen, Fremont, Kenneth (Kandy Takas) Foos, Milbury, OH; grandson, Jeremy (Jill) Smith; step-grandchildren, Troy Halbeisen, Tanya Crispen and John Takas; numerous step-great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bernaldis Noss, Donald and Jerome Foos.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 12 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH with and hour of visitation prior to Mass at the church.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Vic’s honor to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Healthwell Foundation or the Donor’s Choice.
