Telesforo Valle

Telesforo "Telly” Valle, 96, of Fremont, OH, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was born on September 13, 1929 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to Esteban and Antonia (Perez) Valle. He carried the spirit of his island roots with him throughout his life. In the early 1950’s, he made the move to Fremont where he would go on to build not just a home, but a remarkable legacy. For the past seventy-five years, Fremont was the community he helped shape, the place where friendship flourished, and where his family grew for generations.

Telly married Ramona Vargas on August 2, 1951 and she preceded him in death on May 12, 1975. He then married Betty Blymyer on February 18, 1977 and she survives. He worked for Clauss Cutlery for forty-five years until he retired. Telly was a member of St, Joesph Catholic Church.

Telly was a true people person. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t yet made. Known for his quick wit and playful humor, he was always ready with a joke, a smile, or a lighthearted comment - a gift he continued to share even in his final days. His laughter was contagious, his presence comforting, and his love unwavering. He leaves behind a family bound together by his example and countless memories filled with joy, stories, and laughter. While he will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in every shared joke, every family gathering, and every heart he touched.

Telly’s life was long, full, and rich in what mattered most- love, family, and connection. We celebrate his 96 wonderful years and the enduring joy he brought to us all.

Telly is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Betty Valle, Fremont, OH; children, Armando (Gloria) Valle and Ismael (Linda) Valle both Fremont, Efrain Valle, Tampa, FL, Michael Valle, Fremont, Telesforo Valle Jr, Tampa, FL; siblings, Antonia Lopez, Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, Esther Saenz of Quito, Ecuador and Margo (Blanco) Santana, Rochester, NY, 23 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, John Valle; daughters, Milagro Parrish and Aida Valle, siblings, Gayetano Valle, Estaban Valle Jr, Pablo Valle, Emilo Valle, Anna Delia Durbelo, Nelida Valle, Gloria Alicea, Louie Valle, Angel Valle, Rafaela Lopez.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026; 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in Telly’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
