Ted H. Tyler, 79, of Green Springs, OH, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Ted was born on September 30, 1946 to Grover Cleveland and LaVerne Lucy (Beebe) Tyler in Fremont, OH. Ted was a 1965 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Ted was a tool and die maker and machinist for Singer Controls in Fremont and Honeywell Autolite in Fostoria, OH. He was a blacksmith and frontiersman. Ted enjoyed camping and antique tractors and cars. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles since 1968 and the Local 533 UAW.
Ted is survived by his children, Sean Tyler, Green Springs, Tamara Tyler, Fremont, OH; brothers, Jim (Peggy) Tyler, Clyde, OH, Don (Mary) Tyler, Fostoria, OH; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.
A Celebration of Life will follow visitation starting at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the family.
