Sheila Dicker-Lewis, 65, earned her wings on April 3, 2024 surrounded with the love of her family. She was born on December 5, 1958 in Fremont, OH to Merle Dicker-Whittaker who survives and her late father Richard Dicker. She married John Lewis on November 26, 2022 and he survives.
Sheila graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1977. She worked various jobs, but found the most passion in serving others. She was known for her warm hugs, macaroni salad, and making breakfasts that would fill you up for the rest of the day. Time with Sheila meant love, laughter, and a full belly. No one left her house hungry or in a bad mood.
In her free time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching The Masked Singer, going to the Fremont Speedway, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. Sheila looked forward to church services at Journey Church with her husband, John. She was most happy supporting her children and grandchildren in sports, music performances, dance, and theater. She was a person that would tell you, she was a phone call away and meant it. She was a wonderful mother and a great lady.
She was the proud mother of Shauna Dicker Concord,NC, Julie Pinell Toledo, Ohio, Renee Pinell, Kelsey Pinell, and Jovan Lewis all of Fremont, Ohio. Marriage gave her five stepchildren: Jennifer, Sarah, Samantha, John IV, and Jacob all of Fremont, Ohio. She had fourteen grandchildren. She was a sister to Phillip (Margi) Dicker of Fremont, Ohio, Brian Dicker of Fremont, Ohio, Brent (Tammy) Dicker of Fremont, Ohio, David Dicker of Clyde, Ohio, Amy (Robert) Nickel of Tiffin, Ohio, Lisa (Tony) Dunn of Gallatin, TN, Matthew (Karo) Dicker of Gainesboro, TN who all survive.
She will join her father and grandparents in heaven.
The family will be receiving family and friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 9-11 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420.
Services will begin following visitation at the funeral home at 11.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens
In remembrance of Sheila, the family requests that you hug others, love deeply, and never go to bed mad at a family member or loved one. Let Sheila’s love of others shine bright in all that you do.
