Scott A. Smith

Scott A. Smith, 66, of Fremont, OH passed away on January 28, 2026 at Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, OH. Scott was born on August 14, 1959 to Jerry Dean and Allaine Marie (Kachenmeister) Smith in Millbury, OH. Scott married Karen Furgeson on February 14, 2005 in Fremont and she survives.

Scott worked for United Gypsum and retired after many years of service. He was an expert shooter and enjoyed skeet shooting and target practice. He enjoyed motorcycles, golfing and spending time with his dogs, Rita and Ebony.

Scott is survived by his children, Thomas, Lisa, Carrie, Jermey; twenty-three grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Gordon Smith, Penny Jo, Jerry Smith; stepchildren, Erin Napolski ad William Mullholand.

He is preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Micheal.
