Sandra Sloan

Sandra Lynn Sloan, 78, of Clyde, OH passed away on January 3, 2026 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont, OH. She was born on February 4, 1947 the daughter of Harold and Mercedes (Hofelich) Shearon. Sandy was a graduate of York High School.

Sandy celebrated fifty years of marriage with her husband, Michael Sloan, whom she married on April 26, 1975 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and he survives. She worked at Peter Eckrich and Sons, Dobel Flowers and then for Dr. Cane and Bowman until she retired from Dr. Cellier's office. Sandy enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading and cake decorating for her families' birthdays. She also enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach and Gem Beach, watching sports, birds and shopping. One of Sandy's true joys was spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Michael Sloan, Clyde; children, Tracey Sheehan, Fremont, David (Glori) Lewis Sr, Orange, CA, Michael (Christina) Sloan, Fremont and Marisa (Kevin) Gnepper, Clyde; sister, Kim Bilger, Fremont; grandchildren, Christopher (Alicia) Mesnard, Andrea and Abbey Sheehan, David Lewis, Jr, Emily, Sophie and Michael Sloan, Brittany, Matthew and Alex Gnepper and eight great grandchildren; niece and nephew, Jude, Jared and Kristie Bilger.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 8, 2026, 10:30 a.m. at St Mary Church, 609 Vine St., Clyde, OH.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made in Sandy's honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
