Sandra “Marlene” Brewer

Sandra Marlene Brewer, 88, previously of Old Fort, OH, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Brethren Care Nursing Center in Ashland, OH.  She was born on February 22, 1935 in Old Fort, OH to Robert T. and Illantha (Ziess).  Marlene was a graduate of Old Fort High School. Marlene worked for Wayne Savings in Ashland, OH and retired after many years of service. She enjoyed traveling to various places.

Marlene is survived by her sons, Jeff (Tara) DeRan, Enumclaw, WA and Jim DeRan, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Crystal DeRan, Jennifer DeRan, Jarrod DeRan, Jimmy DeRan and Mikayla Blocklinger.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 1

husband, Larry Brewer and brother, Robert T. (Anne) Jones, Jr.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N Broadway St, Green Springs, OH 44836.

A service will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home following visitation.

Burial will take place at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort, OH.

Memorial can be made in her honor to Donor’s Choice.
