Sandra S. Hirt

Sandra S. Hirt, 83, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, August 24, 2026 at her home. She was born on June 4, 1943 in Fremont, OH to Henry and Isabell (Connelly) Schwartz. She was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Sandy married Reynold “Ren” Hirt on December 23, 1976 and he survives. She worked at Whirlpool Corporation and then went to Eveready Battery where she worked for many years until they closed.

Sandy was a member of Grace Community Church. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and dog sitting her four grand dogs.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Ren Hirt; son, Dustin Lee, Fremont; stepdaughter, Renee Kindred, Fremont and Randi (Steve) Schaffer, Nevada City, CA; step-grandchildren, Jessica Hirt, Rebecca Marez, Ericca Sopko, Katelyn Sampson, Jeff Schaffer and Jenny Willmore; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Jarren, Tallulah, Esther, Autumn, Olivia and Savannah.

She is preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Aren Hirt.

A private graveside service will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
