Rosa Contreras

Rosa Contreras, 78, of Fremont, OH, passed away at home with her loving husband by her side on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1947 in Mexico to Julian and Catalina (Hernandez) Moreno.

Rosa worked in housekeeping at Bethesda Care Center for fourteen years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and keeping her home neat and clean. She took pride in dressing well and worked hard in all she did. Above all, Rosa loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Salvador Contreras; daughters, Monica Contreras, Jessica (Atiba) Jackson, Veronica Contreras; grandchildren Johari and Amari; aunt, Sophia Contreras and several brothers and sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Visitation will take place on Monday, 20, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 pm with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 21, 2026, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
