Ronald K. Mooney

Ronald K. Mooney, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Alpine House in Fremont. Ron was born in Tiffin, OH on June 19, 1940 to Kenneth and Marybelle (Boroff) Mooney. He was a 1958 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and then went on to served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 earning the Good Conduct Medal.

Ron married Joyce Fawley on November 19, 1986 in Ruskin, FL and she survives. He spent more than thirty years working as a supervisor for Nickles Bakery, retiring in 2002. He continued to contribute to the company for several additional years, demonstrating his dedication to his work. Ron was a member of Hayes United Methodist Church, American Legion and the VFW. Ron enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially Euchre.

Ron is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years Joyce Mooney; children; Stephen (Brandi) Mooney, Perrysburg, OH, John (Karen) Mooney, Jacqueline (Norman) Heberling; stepson, Steven (Michelle) Seaman; brother, Larry (Ann) Mooney, all of Fremont, OH, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Wayne (Jan) Mooney and Linda Mooney.

It was Ron’s wish to have no services at this time.

Burial will take place at McGormely Cemetery.
