Robert J. Rhoads

Robert “Bob” J. Rhoads, 82, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Countryside Care Center. He was born on October 23, 1943 in Fremont, OH to Chester and Martha (Barney) Rhoads.

Bob had a career in roofing for 45 years, building a long career through dedication and hard work. He was also a former member of the Fremont Eagles, Moose, and VFW. In his free time, Bob enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and playing cards.

Bob is survived by his former wife, Patricia Rhoads, Fremont, OH; children, Robert (Barbara) Rhoads, Sandusky, OH, Sheri Martin, James Rhoads and Cliff Rhoads, all of Fremont, OH; granddaughters, Adrienne and Brittney; great grandson, Logan; sisters, Mary, Barbara, Susie and Debbie.

He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Brooke and seven siblings.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

A Memorial Service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
