Richard Leroy Snyder

Richard Leroy Snyder, 81, Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 surrounded by his family.   Richard was born on October 9, 1942 in Fremont to Ralph and Lucille (Hunt) Snyder.  He was a 1960 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and then went on to serve in the US Navy from 1960 to 1963 where he was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal.  

Richard married Patsy Russell on November 6, 1982 in Fremont and she survives.  He held various positions at Ford and retired in 1999 after thirty-five years of service. During that time Richard also was a member of Jaycees and played Dracula for many years at the Fremont Haunted House. Richard was a member of Compassionate Ministries in Clyde, OH. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, joking around, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Richard is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Patsy Snyder; daughters, Tamela M. Brunner, Norwalk, OH, Peggy A. Snyder, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Leather, Laicey, Jerico, Eric, Renee, Seth, Destiny, Sebastian, Savannah; ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Phyllis A. Everett; granddaughter, Amanda Snyder; great grandsons; Da’vontae and Jay’den Everett; and several siblings.

Richard’s wish was to not have any services.
