Dick Bowersox “Sox” age 75 of Fremont passed away on October 24th at Firelands Hospital after many years of health challenges. Sox was born on February 24, 1950 to Alfred and Kathryn (Eged) Bowersox.
He was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High and enjoyed playing in a band called The Sound of Phyve. Sox was a proud member of the VFW and American Legion in Fremont.
Sox is survived by his wife Jayne, son, Dustin (Angie), Bowersox, CA; grandchildren, Dylan and Alyssa Bowersox from MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tom and Jim; sister, Kay (Jerry) Whitney.
No services will be held at this time at the family’s request.
He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde, OH in the Veterans Garden.
Memorials can be made in his name to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
