Rhonda Lee Lopez

Rhonda Lee Lopez, 64, of Sandusky, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on March 1, 1962 in Fremont, OH to Larry L and Patricia (Dickey) Kollat. Rhonda was a 1980 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Rhonda married Gaudencio Lopez on August 9, 1988 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2022. Rhonda worked for Revere Plastics, where she worked diligently for many years. She found joy crocheting and shopping. Rhonda also had a passion for cooking, often preparing meals that brought her loved ones together. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. As a mother to eight children, Rhonda frequently took on the role of mediator, guiding her family with patience and understanding. For nearly forty-two years, being a mother was her greatest joy and the central focus of her life.

Rhonda is survived by her children, Michel Munguia, Fremont, OH, Daniel (Shannon) Munguia, Fremont, OH, Jose Lopez, Sandusky, OH, Louis (Tabitha) Lopez, Sandusky, OH, Andrew (Brianna) Lopez, Fremont, OH, Aaron (Courtney) Lopez, Sandusky, OH, Fabian Lopez, Bellevue, OH, Kathleena (Kyle) Jones, Sandusky, OH; sisters, Teresa Belcher, Fremont, OH, Laura Kollat, Fremont, OH, Julie (Steve) Arnold, Green Springs, OH and twelve grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Evelyn Kollat and Larry A. Kollat.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Memorials can be made in Rhonda’s honor to the donor’s choice.
