Peggy Hamrick

Peggy Gail Hamrick, 76, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 27, 2026 at Countryside Manor in Fremont. Peggy was born on December 7, 1949 to Jonny and Louise (Wilson) Shiver, in Quitman, GA. She was a graduate of Valdosta High School.

Peggy was married to Terry Gardner and had 1 Daughter. Then went on to marry Johnny Hamrick who had 3 Daughters of his own. He preceded her in death. Peggy started as Respiratory Therapist, then a Video Store Owner, and a Floral Designer for many shops over the years and had an eye for design. In her earlier years Peggy enjoyed line dancing and country music, and was even a Bar Tender. She was a fantastic cook and loved taking care of people. She loved children, and never met a stranger. Peggy was an animal lover and was preceded in death by her dog Cody.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Mario) Martin, Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Lainey, Jana, Mayley; sister, Faye Koppelman, Fremont, OH; first husband, Terry Gardner and cat, Grayson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and second husband, Johnny Hamrick.

Private services were held for Peggy’s family.
