Paul Batesole

Paul Donald Batesole, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1938 in Clyde, OH to William Batesole and Elsie (Hughes) Cozad.

Paul dedicated more than thirty years of his life to Bellevue Manufacturing, where he was a hardworking and valued employee. Unfortunately, his career came to an early end when an accident forced him into retirement. Paul could often be found at the sand docks, a place he cherished and spent his days fishing or simply enjoying watching others cast their lines, finding peace and satisfaction by the water's edge. Above all, Paul's greatest happiness came from the time he spent with his grandchildren. Their presence brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment shared with them.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Doreen (Joaquin) Aguilar, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Cristina Aguilar, Fremont, OH, Veronica Aguilar, Bowling Green, OH, Juan P. (Hannah) Aguilar, Fremont, OH; great grandchildren, Nisiela, Mariana, Jovany, Ezequiel, Hunter, Luis, Nayeli, Hemena and Joaquin Jose; stepchildren, Richard Hopple and Amy Estep.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joaquin Aguilar Jr; first wife, Virginia (Dickey) Batesole; second wife, Mary (Estep) Batesole and longtime companion Susie Cabrera; brothers, William Batesole, Steven Batesole and James Batesole.

A Graveside Service will take place at Green Springs Cemetery on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:00 am with Joel Guzman-Martinez officiating.

Memorials can be made in his honor to the family to help with funeral expenses.
