Patrick C. Herring
Patrick C. Herring, 71, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 29, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born December 11, 1946 in Toledo, OH, the son of Agnew and Elsie (Reed) Herring. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School.
Pat served in the National Guard. He married Linda M. Jakubowski on September 10, 1966 at St. Clements in Toledo and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2017.
Pat was a manager of large and small business accounts for Ohio Bell and ATT until he retired in 1998. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, golfing, bowling and basketball. He was a Detroit Tigers and Ohio State fan. Pat loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed attending SJCC sporting events of his grandchildren. Pat fully enjoyed life.
Pat is survived by his daughters, Shelly (Bob) Foster and Amy Herring both of Fremont, OH; brother-in-law, Richard Meyer, Colon, MI; grandchildren, Brooke and Tad Foster; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Herring; siblings, William Herring and Betty Meyer.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018, 11:30 am at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St, Sylvania, OH with Fr. Nathan Bockrath officiating. Those attending may meet at the front entrance at 11:15 am at the cemetery.
A Celebration of Life Event will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Ballville Township Hall, 1413 W. Cole Rd., Fremont, OH 43420. The family hopes that friends will come share, dinner, beverages and memories.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to SJCC Booster Club to pay for student’s sports fees.
