Patricia Louise Bordner

Patricia Louise Bordner, 81, of Fremont, OH passed away on March 17, 2026 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1944 in Fremont, OH the daughter of James and Mabel (Gruver) Rathfelder. Pat was a 1962 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Pat married Robert Bordner on July 17, 1965 and he survives. She worked at Quickcut Cutlery, Saddelman’s and with her husband on the family farm for many years until she retired. Pat was a member of John Birch Society and several conservative groups. She enjoyed politics, gardening and taking care of people. She loved her cats and dogs but mostly loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Bordner, Fremont; daughters, Sandi (Brian) Shiets, Fremont, Susan (John) Heishman, Clyde; grandchildren, Ashley (James) Hill and Amber Shiets both of Fremont, Ashley (Nate) Gittinger, Clyde, OH; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Elaina, Sawyer, Samuel, Olivia, Auron and Raelynn; siblings, Gary Rathfelder and Vicki (Rick Ramsey) Rathfelder both of Fremont and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026; 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
