Orvis “Bill” William Vroman, Jr., 78, of Fostoria, OH passed away on August 17, 2025 at Bridge Findlay Hospice Care Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 5, 1947 in Fremont, OH the son of Orvis and Garnet (Ellenberger) Vroman, Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of Lakota High School.
Bill served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal and Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Bill married Judy Glotfelty on June 26, 1971 in Oakland, MD and she survives. He worked for Honeywell in Fostoria for thirty years until he retired in 1995. Bill enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting antiques with his wife, Judy. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. Bill’s best times were spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Judy Vroman, Fostoria, OH; daughter, Heather (Todd) Fackler, Toledo, OH; brother, Herbert (Ruth) Vroman, Westerville, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Vroman; sister, Janice “Jay” Vroman and an infant sister, Hilma Vroman.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
