Michael C. Thomas “Bigg Myke”

Michael Charles “Bigg Myke” Thomas, 43, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH.  He was born June 28, 1977 in Fremont to Charles Harris and Shirley Ann (Phillips) Thomas.  He was a 1996 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Vanguard-Sentinel Center.  Bigg Myke was currently the manager at Frisch’s Big Boy where he worked for the past twenty years.  He attended Victory Church and was a member of the OVLS Dart League.  Bigg Myke was a D.J. at many weddings, parties, proms and graduations.  On his weekends off from work, Bigg Myke D.J’d. at Shellukes where he was loved by many.  Bigg Myke enjoyed watching movies, playing darts and cornhole, music, grilling out and hanging out with the fellas.  Bigg Myke was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and New York Giants fan. He was a proud father in the stadium watching his son play football, wrestling and track.  He loved spending time with his daughter, “Baby Girl”.

Bigg Myke is survived by his children, Michael “Little Mike” Thomas II and Serenity Thomas both of Fremont, OH; brothers, Willie “Scoop” Jones and Joe “Fud” (Thinethia) Thomas both of Lorain, OH, Jeffery (Gina) Thomas, Warren, OH and Kenny Harris, Fremont, OH; mother: Mary Alridge, Fremont, OH; aunts, Charlotte Alridge, Carolyn (Kenny, Sr.) Morrisette Catherine (John Lee) Jones; uncles, William J. Alridge, Jr., David (Joyce Ann) Alridge and Lester Miller, Jr.; mother of his children, Yolanda Medellin; special brother, Johnny Alridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Isaiah James Thomas, Madison Rena Thomas; sisters, Patricia Jones, Deborah Thomas; uncle, Curtis “Rice” Alridge and nephew, Jarvis Jones.

Visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Victory Church, 2051 Oak Harbor Rd. Fremont, OH 43420.

Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church with pastor Bryan Robles officiating.

His son and daughter request that family and friends wear Bigg Myke’s favorite sports teams colors as stated above or uplifting colors to celebrate his life.

Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the funeral home or Shelluke’s to help his family with expenses.
