Michael D. Barnett

Michael D. Barnett, 41, of Fremont, OH, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on January 23, 1985 in Fremont, OH to Carla (Fisher) Talamantez. Mike was a 2004 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Mike worked for Pizza Hut and Marathon Gas Station, where he remained dedicated to his work at these establishments until his illness prevented him from continuing. He found joy in playing pool, particularly as a member of the Gibsonburg pool league. He also enjoyed fishing, an activity that allowed him to relax and connect with nature. Spending time with his nieces and nephews brought him great happiness, and he cherished these moments with his family.

Mike had a special passion for collecting elephants, expressing his appreciation for these magnificent creatures.

Mike is survived by his mother, Carla Talamantez; siblings, Sandra Barnett, Matthew Barnett, all of Fremont, OH; nieces and nephews, Isaiha Zimmerman, Nathaniel Barnett, Mariah Turner, Hunter Barnett, Zachary Barnett, Austin Hull, Skyler Barnett, Noah Barnett and William Barnett.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Irvin and Marilyn Fisher; paternal grandparents, William and Janet Barnett and uncle, Keith Barnett.
