Melissa M. Yates

Melissa “Missy” M. (Harrah) Yates, 59, of Fremont, OH passed away on April 12, 2026 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, OH. She was born on February 1, 1967 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Jerry and Judy (Stout) Harrah. Missy was a 1985 graduate of Clyde High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Tiffin University in business administration.

Missy married Sean J. Yates on October 31, 2003 in Clyde, OH and he survives. She worked at the Clyde Public Library and the McArthur Library in Biddeford, ME. Missy loved reading, animals and thrift shopping. She also enjoyed hiking, the ocean, journaling, scrapbooking and watching the ID Channel. She was a pescatarian and enjoyed her pen pals.

Missy is survived by her husband, Sean Yates, Fremont; children, Jared (Gabby) Lieske, Maine, Caden (Cristina) Lieske and Draven Yates both of Fremont; Raffy (Jamie) Reyes, Clyde, Radley Yates, Fostoria and Razany (Matt Roca) Yates, Fremont; grandchildren, Maddox Lieske, Layla Reyes, Caden Rollins, Christian Casares, Arianna Yates, Reyna Roca and Matt Roca Jr.; sister, Christina Harrah, Fremont and close friend, Laurie Pocock.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private burial will take place at Green Springs Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in her honor to Humane Society of Sandusky County.
