Matthew J. Faulkner, 49, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away on December 20, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 17, 1975 on the Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the son of Danny and Marla (Crecelius) Faulkner. He was a 1995 graduate of Margaretta High School.
For the past thirteen years, Matt worked as a tow motor driver at Autokiniton formerly Tower Automotive in Bellevue, Ohio. He had a passion for his motorcycle, was an avid New York Giants fan, and deeply cherished his family and friends.
Matt is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann Faulkner, Fremont, Ohio, whom he married on January 11, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio; children, Kelsey (Steven) Johnson, Massillon, Ohio, Kailey (Daniel) Hatfield, Castalia, Ohio; stepchildren, Skylar Mynarsky, Port Clinton, Ohio, Brody Baker, Fremont, Ohio; brother, Marc (Stacey) Faulkner, Surprise, Arizona, three grandchildren, Liam, Levi, and Brinley, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Danny and Marla, maternal grandparents Jacob (Erva) Crecelius, and paternal grandparents Vane (Alice) Faulkner.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Thirsty Pony, 1935 Cleveland Rd. W, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
