Mary L. Alridge

Mary L. Phillips Alridge, 82, of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Laurel, MS. She was born on December 15, 1943 to Cora and Allex Phillips in Laurel, MS.

Mary married William Alridge Sr. and to this union three children were born: William Alridge Jr, David Alridge and Charlotte Alridge. Mary later moved to Fremont, OH with her children. She united with Greater St. James Church under the leadership of Pastor Chance while living in Ohio. She was an independent homemaker and loved to travel, enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her children, William “Trooper” Alridge Jr, David (Joyce) Alridge, Charlotte Alridge, all of Fremont, OH; sister, Catherine (John Lee) Jones; grandchildren, Johnny Alridge, Keith (Erika) Alridge Jr, Eric Alridge Pierre (Sandra) Alridge, Jayla Alridge, Jarelle Alridge, Ashley Gamble, Angela Haynes, Kimberly Alridge, Demond Kennedy, Jala Miller, Jarelle Shorty, William Alridge III, Kennedy Alridge, Curtis Alridge, Travon Alridge, Jasmine Spears, Khadija Alridge, Hazel Alridge, Kenny Morrisette, Cenon Morrisette, Tamika Morrisette, Anthony Brown Jr; brother-in-law, Kenny Morrisette Sr; six sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; longtime companion, Willie “Jr Mitch” Brown; children, Luther Porter Jr, Curtis Alridge, Carolyn Morrisette and Lester Miller, Jr, Michael Thomas; siblings, Charles Shelby, John Robert Powell, John Phillips, Houston Willis and Shirley Ann Thomas.

A Celebration of Life will take place on July 26, 2025 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the UAW Hall, 209 N Stone St, Fremont, OH 43420.
