Marcella R. Post

Marcella “Sally” R. Post, 100, of Fremont, OH passed away on November 19, 2023 at Bethesda Care Center.  She was born on October 29, 1923 in Rice Township the daughter of Alois and Emma (Lochotzki) Widman.  Sally married Kenneth B. Post on April 10, 1948 at St. Jospeh Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2001.

Sally worked at Singer Controls for nineteen years until she retired in 1985.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Blessed Sacrament Confraternity and a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Sally enjoyed crossword puzzles and fishing.  She loved to spend time at their lake cottage on Lake Erie which they enjoyed from 1972 to 2002.

Sally is survived by her sons, David E. (Mary) Post, Donald J. Post, Kenneth J. (Lisette) Post and Mark K. Post all of Fremont; grandsons, Aaron Post, Levi (Kim) Post and step grandsons, Jeremiah and Tyler Wagner; great grandchildren, Lainey and Leo Post, Aubrey Kervel, Aslynn, Ameila and Wyatt Post, Dylan and Lacey Wagner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Isidore, Ambrose, Rev. Seraphin, Roman, Leonard and Walter Widman; sisters, Florence Hoffman and Martha Dickman; daughter-in-law, Sara Post.

Visitation:  Friday, November 24, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a vigil at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial:  Saturday, November 25, 2023; 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH
