Leonard “Lenny” A. Gonya

Leonard “Lenny” A. Gonya, 64, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2023.  He was born on July 14, 1958 in Fremont, OH to Herbert “Bud” and Frances (Janusz) Gonya.  Lenny was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.  Lenny worked for Crown Battery for many years and retired this earlier year.  He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan and enjoyed collecting clocks and socializing.

Lenny is survived by his son, Jimmy, of Fremont, OH; brother, Bernard (Trina) Gonya; of Indiana, sister, Mary Lou Kosta, Clyde, OH; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Gonya and sister-in-law, Rose Gonya.

A visitation will take place on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

A burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery.
